The cable tone industry welcomes structural growth, and specialization and environmental protection have become the core of development
In recent years, the cable tie industry has shown a steady growth trend driven by demand in various fields, with the market size in China reaching about 12 billion yuan in 2024 and expected to exceed 14 billion yuan in 2025, with a compound annual growth rate of 7%-9%. The power, electronics manufacturing and new energy industries have become the core growth engines, of which the power industry accounts for 35%, mainly serving cable management and transmission line fixation.
Technological upgrading focuses on two major directions: specialization and environmental protection. The field of new energy vehicles has driven a surge in demand for flame retardant cable ties, with an average consumption of 80-120 pieces per electric vehicle, the proportion of UL94 V0 flame retardant products has increased significantly, and the halogen-free process has accelerated, and the market share of low-smoke halogen-free products has risen from 32% in 2020 to 48% in 2024, and is expected to exceed 55% in 2025. At the same time, the application rate of bio-based nylon and recycled materials continues to increase, reaching 12% of the industry's total output in 2023, and reducing carbon emission intensity by more than 30% compared to traditional materials.
Policy and standard upgrades further force industry transformation. The new version of the "General Technical Conditions for Nylon Cable Ties" raises the tensile strength standard to 60MPa, promoting the industry-wide compliance rate to reach more than 90% by 2025. Driven by the "dual carbon" goal and the EU RoHS directive, manufacturing clusters in East China and South China are accelerating production capacity upgrades, and the proportion of high-end high-temperature and UV-resistant products is expected to increase from 30% in 2023 to 35% in 2025.
